  11. 1 c sugar                      3 c flour
  12. 1/2 c butter                   1 tsp cloves
  13. 1/2 c molasses                 1 tsp cinnamon
  14. 1 tsp soda                     1/2 tsp salt
  15. 1/2 c lukewarm coffee          1 c raisins
  16. 1 egg, beaten

  18. Preheat oven to 350.  Cream sugar and shortening.  Add molasses then soda
  19. which has been dissolved in the coffee.  Add the sifted dry ingredients.
  20. Add raisin then the beaten egg.  Make in long strips on a greased cookie
  21. sheet.  Bake for 10 minutes.

  23. This recipe is _really_ easy and tastes great.
